With a special grant from the Balance Bar Company, I will swim from Alcatraz Island to SanFrancisco to benefit the Oregon Community School District Foundation.

In February of 2004, a devestating fire destroyed Rahn Elementary school. The nearly 400 kids in class at the time escaped unharmed, but the school was a total loss.

A new building is being built as an addition to another local elementary and middle school this year.

Your pledge for my Alcatraz swim will help supply playground equipment, computers, and needed classroom supplies.
